
Fifty of the worlds top action sports athletes have descended upon Interlaken, Switzerland to take part in the worlds number one extreme sports film festival, the Nissan Outdoor Games.
With just one week to film, edit and produce a five minute short featuring mountain biking, climbing, paragliding, hang gliding and BASE jumping, the teams will not only be putting their lives on the line, but will be capturing it all on camera, in an effort to be crowned the 09 Nissan Outdoor Games champions.
Teams from Scandinavia, France, Austria, Russia and Switzerland will be turning the mountains, rivers and glaciers of Interlaken into their own film studio, with each teams cameraman and photographer capturing the essence of extreme sports as it happens.
Footage released in advance of Saturdays final has provided a breathtaking insight into the production of these films, showing a mountain biker riding out of an office window to land two stories below. Such is the skill of these athletes, he rode away unscathed.
As the extreme sports phenomenon becomes increasingly popular, the Nissan Outdoor Games is leading the way in showcasing the talent of some of the worlds bravest athletes, as they push the boundaries of what is possible, to bring us the most breathtaking spectacles in sport.
